Dear Richard, Cynthia,Family,
and Mary,
My sincerest sympathy on the loss of Louis. I knew him for many years as a member of the Sons of Italy. We had so many good times with lots of teasing and fun.
I am unable to get to the wake or funeral because I will be out of town.
May God bless you and know that you are in my prayers.
Sister Carole

I started working at the bank with Jean back in 1972. We became friends and through her I knew Louie. Both your parents were the best. I thought about Louie last week because I hadn't seen him at the bank in a long time. I am sorry for your loss. He was such a sweet, funny man. I was very lucky to have known both of your parents.

Lou Giambra was one of the most enthusiastic people in life that I have ever met. I knew him from the Vincent Lombardi Lodge of Rochester, OSIA, when he was the lodge president and I a state officer. Throughout all the years, he and his beloved late wife Jean were at so many events and so very supportive of charitable and good works. When I climbed the ladder to state president and then national president, Lou was always there with a card and a note, and a great memory for the past. My personal happiness was when he was recommended and selected to receive the NYSOSIA's highest award, the Bene Emeritous. he so well deserved it and was a wonderful representative of the upstate lodges of the NYSOSIA. May he rest in peace, knowing he did good throughout his life!

We met Lou through the Sons of Italy which his dear companion Mary Ricci had us join. I knew immediately, as did my family, that Lou was a very special person and that no matter where his interest was at the moment he always had a great story, a very positive attitude, and a wealth of knowledge about just about anything and he loved to share that with anyone who would listen. As a member of our Lodge's Board he could always be relied on to answer any questions related to the Order of the Sons of ItalyHis participation in all aspects of the oldest active Italian American Organization in America (National, State, and Locally) earned him the highest award in the order and title Bene Emeritus. We will all miss him very much.
