Welch, Cyrilla A. Greece, N.Y.: Sunday, February 26, 2012. Daughter of John Fitzgerald and Elizabeth Favre Fitzgerald; Mrs. Welch was born July 29, 1916 in French Creek, Iowa and was raised in Lansing, Iowa along the Mississippi River. Pre-deceased by her loving husband of 62 years, John J. Welch and her sisters and their spouses: Sr. Wilhelmina, O.S.F., Adeline (Robert) Faherty, Margaret (George) Anderson & Gladys (Joseph) Gustat. Mrs. Welch is survived by her children; Michael Welch of Canandaigua, N.Y., John T. (Rosemary Grier) Welch of Pelkie, MI., Ellen (Alan Kucheck) Welch of Mission Viejo, Ca. and Patricia "Trish" (Rod) Prosser of Rochester, N.Y. grandchildren; Andrew (Eirini Georgiou) Prosser of Geneva, Switzerland, Erin Prosser (Andrew Kiss) of Orchard Park, N.Y., Jacob Kucheck of Newport Beach, Ca., Dylan and Adeline Grier-Welch of Pelkie, MI., also many nieces and nephews. Cyrilla was Fashion Editor for the Chicago Herald American Newspaper prior to her career as wife and mother. Cyrilla and her husband John were volunteers at St. Ann's Community for over 25 years. No prior visitation. Friends are invited to meet the family Friday 11:00 am at St. Ann's Chapel for her Funeral Mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In memory of Cyrilla Welch memorials may be made to School of the Holy Childhood, 100 Groton Pkwy., Rochester, N.Y. 14623.
