Irondequoit: Surrounded by her family on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at the age of 86. Pre-deceased by her loving husband Frank of 65 yrs; 9 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Rosemarie Sprague, Patricia Taylor, Sheila (William) Povoski-Butler, Frank Povoski Jr., Dr. Stephen (Kelly) Povoski; grandchildren, Justin (Leighann) Taylor, Leigh Anne Taylor, Sara Beth Taylor, Spencer Povoski; great grandchildren, Payton, Erich, & Alina Taylor; sister-in-law, Mary Woodruff; special niece, Karen Yastremski, also many other nieces and nephews.
Anne was an avid flower and vegetable gardener with an amazing green thumb. She won an award from the Irondequoit Beautification Committee in 1999 for an Outstanding Garden. She loved to can her own fruits & vegetables. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed cooking, especially Polish food. Anne was a devoted wife and was always at her husband's side, working with him on home projects. Anne's life centered around her family and she was cherished by all of them.
Her family will receive friends FRIDAY 4:00 - 7:00pm at the funeral home. Friends are invited to meet the family SATURDAY 11:00am at Blessed Kateri at Christ The King Church for her funeral mass.
