Obituary of Raymond J. Shahin

Predeceased by his siblings, Michael & James Shahin and Barbara Mokheiber. Ray is survived by his loving wife Joyce Shahin (Dodd); children, Mark(Julie) Shahin, Jacquelyn(James) Cowan, David(Julie Ann) Shahin, Jill(Scott) Peters; grandchildren, Anna Shahin, Jill Silver, Ray & John Holly, Jamie Cowan, Jeremy Youll, Reid Peters; great grandchildren, Raymond & Evelyn Holly; sisters, May(Reggie) Woodward, Betty Dovi; brother, George(Audrey) Shahin. Ray was the band director at Holley H.S. where he led the band to 6 state championships. He also taught at Bishop Kearney H.S. from 1966 to 1983, also winning state champiosnhips there as well. He finished his teaching career in the Hilton Central School District. In 2002, he was inducted to the Bishop Kearney Hall of Fame. He also was the winner of the Eastridge Kiwanis man of the year award. His family will receive friends SUNDAY 1-4pm at the funeral home.
