My grandfather (Frank Reitze) lived on Bernard St. next to Jackie. In our youth (myself, my brother John, my cousins Allen, Richard and Jimmy) would be at grandpa's house for Christmas awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus. It was not until our later years, when "the cat was let out of the bag", that Santa Claus had been Jackie Knobel. Whether he is known as Mr. Knobel, John, Jackie, Dad, Granpa, Uncle or whatever; to the "Reitze boys", Jackie always was and will always be "Santa Claus"

Our sincere condolences to Lois and the "Four Flowers", it is with great fondness that I will always remenber John's classic and occasionally caustic wit and his tremendous love of his family and community. May your memories and God's grace guide you through the days ahead. All our best, Mark, Pam, & Chandler.

My sympathy and prayers go out to the Knobel family. Uncle John was a man that lit up a room - and it was always a pleasure to see him. His ability to bring laughter and joy to all those around him was a precious gift. He leaves us all with so many happy memories. His was a life well lived. Hopefully we can all reach back and find a smile from John that will help us get through the sadness of today.
