Toni Molina posted a condolence

Dear Family of Anthony,
In 1969, being honorably discharged from the Women's Army and marrying my Viet Nam veteran husband, Anthony hired me as a Legal Secretary at the offices of Bonadio, Calvaruso & Schwartz (Rochester, NY). I used to weep while typing up some of the court papers where he addressed the issues of abused children. The job became too difficult for me to bear as I was pregnant with my first child. May the wonderful Mr. Bonadio rest in peace for all his goodness. Toni Molina (secretary to Mr. Bonadio)

Jill - I just learned of your dad's death and my thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. Though it has been many years since we have seen each other, I have fond memories of our years together at CTK. I remember a field trip we once took to the courthouse and what a kind man your father was. May happy thoughts of him ease your pain and bring peace to your heart.

It is impossible for me to convey, in a few words, the depth and range of my sentiments for my dear father who has just passed into the next world. But let me say this: when I went through a period of teenage resentment, he never once returned my resentment with anything but love; when I disagreed with him, he never relented whatsoever in showing his love; and when I chose career directions that did not correspond with his hopes, he supported and loved me all the same.
Mark Twain wrote, "When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much he had learned in 7 years." To which I would add: when I got to be 30, I realized that my father was in so many ways a truly great man, whose example I could only hope to dimly emulate; and even now, I continue to learn of achievements and charitable activities which prompt me to admire him all the more.
What an honor it is to have witnessed his dedication to his family, to abused and neglected children, and to so many worthy charitable causes; his incredible work ethic; his integrity; his genuine good-will and affability; his sense of humor; and his humility. He certainly proved true these words of the poet George Herbert: "A father is more than a hundred schoolmasters."
Dad, may God grant you His infinite Mercy and Peace, and may we someday contemplate Him together for all eternity.

Judge Bonadio was an inspiration to me when I was a young attorney. He taught compassion balanced with a practical view of how to help people through as difficult time in their lives. He was kind and approachable and approached his our jobs with humor and understanding. Thank you, Judge.

Learning of the Judges passing reminded Judy and I of his humor and compassion. He certainly left a legacy in Family Court and will be missed by all who knew him. I will forever see him walking along the edges of any golf course we played, looking for balls, and his excitement when he "found a good one". His dedication and committment to his community will be sorely missed.

It was my honor to be the daughter of such a wonderful man. I will miss him and love him until the end of time. He taught me what it is to be a good person. To be honest, loving and kind. He taught me (above all) to be myself and make no apologies for that - just be the best 'me' I can be. Thanks Dad, may God bless your journey 'home' to see Him.
