Meehan, Leo E.
Irondequoit: Monday, September 3, 2012 at the age of 91. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Doris M. Meehan(Myers); children, William(Kathleen), Kathleen(Richard) M. Magere, Michael(Beth), James(Catherine), Thomas(Diane); grandchildren, Heather, Matt, Michael, Timothy, Patrick, Christopher, Shannon, Sean; great grandchildren, Zachary & Hana. Leo served in both Pacific and Atlantic Theaters during WWII. He retired from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Irondequoit Art Club. His works of art could be seen in many areas of the community.
A special thank you to all the caregivers from Home Care from the Heart and the staff at Highland Hospital.
His family will receive friends FRIDAY 4:00 - 7:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family SATURDAY 9:30am at Blessed Kateri at Christ The King Church for his funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
