To the Closen Family, please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. Mark and Brandt, I don't know if you remember me. I am the daughter of Walt and Peggy Shea who were close friends of your parents from liviing on Charing Rd many many years ago. We have pictures of you both and Cindy playing with my brother's Pete and Bob and of course have movies of Halloween marches around the neighborhood. I was fortunate enough to see your Mom in somewhat recent years when my parents, when still alive, would visit Rochester from Texas would visit with Kay and Gerry when they were here in Roch to visit my family. Your parents were such kind and generous people. Your mom seemed to be cheerily taking care of someone quite often. It meant the world to me when my Uncle passed away that they came to his burial and back to the house in 2001. They had known him years before. But to me that occasion was the epitome of your Mom and Dad.....thoughtful, generous, very kind and loved life! Kay will be missed by so many friends. I am sorry I was unable to come to the wake today and could have told you all this in person. Kathy

Dear Closen Family,
I just wanted to say how sorry I am to learn of your loss. May the God of all comfort sustain you during this difficult time. I have also found the following promises to be comforting John 5:28,29 about the resurrection hope as well as Rev. 21:4 where God promises to do away with all the things that cause us suffering and pain including death forever. It is my sincere hope that these thoughts comfort your family at this time.
