I was very sad to hear about Nateâ€™s passing. In my mind he is a man who will be immortalized by a generation of patriots who served their country with horror. Maybe not for my generation, but I am afraid that men like Nate and his generations contribution to this country will be lost to future generations. In the time I spent with Nate he never mentioned his service in the Armyâ€™s 78th Division. This was a division of 20,000 men. During WWII about 1 in 5 men that served in this division were awarded the Bronze Star for Heroic and Meritorious achievementâ€¦Nate was one. I will always remember visiting with Nate on Saturday afternoonâ€™s in the summer at his shop on Hudson Avenue and sharing a six pack of 12 Horse Ale. As much as I enjoyed those moments I cannot imagine, given his service, how he must have felt. Nate may have been slight in stature but his humility and courage were larger than life itself.

To The Ulisano Family, I met all of you thru my wonderful friend Natalie while we were in nursing school. I remember being at your home talking with your wonderful Mom and your Dad.I did not realize at that time how much our parents mean to us, and as we get older we can look back on wonderful memories. Mr. Ulisano left all of us lasting memories and awonderful legacy for his family and friends. I was blessed to know the whole Ulisano family. My thoughts and deepest sympathy to all of you.
