Mary Helen,
I feel like I know you though we never met. I met your Mom at physical therapy in '08
after she fell. I ended up taking her home sometimes, visiting, running her around,
taking pictures of her cats, etc... Ever since then we remained in touch and I took her
out for her 99th b-day for lunch and since it was horrible outside we went back to the
house & just visited and played w/Buddy who I adored. I am beside myself because
I somehow missed this in the paper and just found out yesterday because the woman
that was in the same room when Rita came in, I happen to know & have been visiting
at St. Anne's. The more I spoke to the daughter the pieces just started adding up &
needless to say, I was in absolute shock. I adored your Mom with all my heart and
couldn't believe her spunk and I was so proud to say I knew her. I will NEVER forget
her and I know she'd love to know that Buddy found a new home, please let me know.
I'm so sorry-she was one of a kind-still shocked.
