Lorain's smile could light up a room. And now, I sit here and cry seeing her picture smiling at me... My heart is heavy at the loss, but I know she had strong faith and her health will be restored in heaven.
I grew up going to Brighton Presbyterian Church, and I was very close to Mid and Lorain. My dad was good friends with them. I remember going to their house for supper or luncheons, something I'm sure they didn't think would leave a mark on me. Just last week, I sat down with the church directory and did a Google search and Facebook search to see who I could find, knowing that some of the church elders have probably passed away as it has been some years... Lorain and mid were the first couple I searched for! And, I found Lorain on facebook! I was so happy to see that I could reconnect with her! I think this was perhaps even on the day of her passing too. I feel like I had a gentle nudge from God to say check in on Mid and tell him alls well.
