I was heartbroken to see Nick's obituary in the Hartford Courant. Growing up with him as the "older kid across the street" was such a privilege. My father always called him "the professor." Clearly it was the right description. His accomplishments as a professor of the world are beyond admirable.
I live on a golf course now, but, to this day, because of Nick, the thing I enjoy the most is just hunting for golf balls. I waded through the streams and mud many hours with Nick on the Canton Golf Course as a kid - and to this day, the feeling I get when I find a golf ball takes me right back to those wonderful summer memories with him. He's pretty much always with me.
To all the Wasucks - my deepest, heartfelt sympathy. You were all such an important part of my life.

Sandy and I are keeping Helen and their children on our thoughts.
The world is a poorer place with the passing of Nick. His joyous enthusiasm for life and his commitment to children are what I remember most and oh yes, those ties (Helen even made a couple for me). I was fortunate to work with Nick at Sheldon School for a number of years and to keep in touch with him through social media. Seeing him at the Sheldon Retired Teachers' gatherings was always a joy. We would recount the good times we had with the Sheldon students and staff.
A donation to the Golisano Children's Center has been made in Nick's memory.
You are truly missed my friend!
R.I.P.

Dear Helen,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. Nick bravely faced the health struggle with courage and determination to continue to do those things he loved most. Nick will be remembered throughout the world by colleagues and students for his cheerful smile, his caring and helping attitude, and making things fun for kids. His door was always open. Nick had a way to liven up the spirit of the group. His adventures with Quality Schools International for 14 years took him to eight different QSI schools. Nick could make the most out of each situation and enjoy the experience.
Thank you, Nick and Helen, for your dedication and years of service to QSI and most importantly for your impact on students and to those of us who have come to know and love you. You have made a difference.

It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of our beloved Director, Mr. Nicholas Wasuck.
We were fortunate enough to have known him and have had him as the Director of the QSI Tbilisi school during the 1998-2000 academic years.
In addition to being an effective principal, Mr. Wasuck had a wonderful sense of humor and could make everyone feel at ease. His easygoing and kind demeanor has been and will always be remembered by everyone who got to spend time at the school with him and his family.
We'd like to offer our deepest condolences to Helen, Natasha and the rest of the family.
Please, know that we are keeping you in our thoughts.
With love,
Your QSI Tbilisi Staff

Nick we are so sad to see you leave, but celebrating your life and the end of your earthly pain. Your smile and our years together in Kyiv, where you and Helen were key figures in our first year overseas (and now we're clocking in our 14th!), are so warmly in our hearts. While our paths never crossed since Kyiv, we know they will again when we find you in Heaven and ask you for some fishing lessons.
