Paul E. Haney
Rochester: Suddenly on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at the age of 78. Predeceased by his parents, William & Elizabeth (Goetzmann); sister, Teresa Marie; brother, Thomas Haney. Paul is survived by his sister-in-law, Christine S. Haney; nieces and nephews, Patricia (David) Armstrong, Christine Haney, Susan (Gary) Coroneos, Michael (Stefany Mariani) Haney, Sharon Haney; great nephew, David (Cari Johnson) Haney; great niece, Jennifer (Michael) Clemons; dear friends, Jesse Lucas, Marilyn Gilman and Marcia O'Connor.
Paul was a big man with a bigger heart. A man of faith who gave freely to his family and his community. He loved reading, especially historical fiction and biographies. He enjoyed travel and the simple pleasures of life with family and friends. Paul was involved with politics most of his life and engaged actively and with vigor. He passionately defended and voiced his opinions on topics he believed in especially those that reflected his love for "his" city, Rochester.
His family will receive friends Wednesday, July 24, 4-7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Friends are invited to meet the family Thursday, July 25, 10:00am at St. Boniface Church for his funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Paul E. Haney endowed Scholarship at Aquinas Institute, 1127 Dewey Ave, Rochester, NY 14613 or Haney Family endowed Scholarship Fund at St. John Fisher, 3690 East Ave, Rochester, NY 14618.
