Your father, Frank Giangiobbe, took a chance with me. When, in 1966, I was transferring from School 17 in the Rochester City Schools, Mr. Giangiobbe hired me to teach second grade at School 24. It was a magical year with a class I have followed for 53-54 years. Every year, we meet at the Lilac Festival; and this year, my class will come to visit us for the third time at our lake house in Maine. I send my condolences for the loss of your father and family member...with gratitude to him for the memorable year at School 24 under his leadership and the “gift” of my class to me.
