Carrie and family,
My husband, Bob and I are so sorry to hear of your father's passing. Unfortunately, we didn't hear about you mother's passing until a friend told us several months after. I'm sorry I didn't know how to reach you then.
We first met your dad and later your mom, in 1987 through the Crohn's and Colitis support group. We quickly became friends. A few years later when I became Rochester CCFA chapter president, your parents joined our board. Dwight was always helpful, supportive and a thoughtful sounding board for me. We had much in common and shared many long conversations about everything- families, illness and our shared view of world events and politics. Your parents were both so supportive during times that my husband and I were ill, and always had time to lead an ear. I especially loved your father's quiet way and dry sense of humor.
Sadly, as is often the case, life changes and we had not been in touch much in recent years, but I thought of them often. They were both very proud of you and your children. Please know we share in your grief and will always remember and treasure their friendship.
Sincerely,
Karen and Bob Gerenski.
