Joseph M. O'Connor Sr.

Irondequoit: Sunday, December 20, 2020 at the age of 95. Pre-deceased by his wife, Rose; brothers, David & Jack; sister, Margaret Youngman; daughter-in-law, Vivian O'Connor; sister-in-law, Julia (Jim) Cassidy. He is survived by his children, David (Lynda), Joe Jr. (Kathryn), Nancy (Jim Newman), Michael (Joanne) O'Connor; grandchildren, Kimberly (Steve) Ames, Christopher (Shannon) O'Connor, Rick (Amy) and Mark LaPaglia, Sharon (Bill) Gibbons, Judi O'Connor, Casey (Brian) Imrich, Jacob and Caroline O'Connor; 11 great grandchildren.

Joe was a WWII Army Veteran. He retired as a Detective with the RPD in 1972. After retiring, he worked as a Corporate Investigator with Kodak for 16 years. Joe loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He treasured his summer vacation time with his family in the Adirondacks.

His family will receive friends Sunday, December 27, 1-4pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Friends are invited to meet the family Monday, December 28, 10:00am at Peace of Christ Parish at St. James Church (109 Brockley Rd.) for his funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
