Emil F. Grenda

Irondequoit--December 20, 2020 at the age of 80.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Catherine; his children, son David (Kathy); daughter Kristin; four grandchildren, Eric, Audrey, Laura and Quaid; two great grandchildren, Denver and Andrew III, all residing in Arizona; brothers-in-law, Ron Smith and James Ennis; sisters-in-law, Ellen McGuire and Mary Burke, all residing in Rochester, NY; beloved nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Emil was an intelligent and extremely talented man. During his working career, he held positions with GE, Honeywell, Phillips and others, giving him an opportunity to travel, as well as live in various countries around the world.

He loved music and was self-taught on numerous instruments, including the violin, guitar, accordion, harmonica, mandolin and tin whistle. In addition, he was gifted with a remarkable singing voice.

Many of Emil's retirement years were spent entertaining residents of nursing and retirement homes. He was a member of several amateur musical groups, including The Fox Den, The CountryMen, Sweetwater String Band, Seabreeze Quartet, and Tom & Emil. He will be extremely missed by his family and friends.

Emil's Memorial Service on March 6, 2021 has been cancelled. His family will be holding services privately.
