My sincere condolences to all of Nancy’s family. I had the pleasure and privilege to know and work with Nancy when I was the Pastor of St. Salome Church from 1982 to 1994. Nancy was a joy to be with, and I will always be grateful to God that she was part of my pastoral life among God’s people in Irondequoit. Our staff and parishioners were daily on the receiving end of Nancy’s generous use of her gifts and talents. One of those gifts was her wonderful sense of humor which helped me more than she ever knew, especially on those pressure days when I needed to laugh! Nancy was constantly setting a good example for me and for all who came in contact with her. May she rest in God’s peace. Prayerfully, Fr. Al Delmonte

Nancy and I had some things in common. Both from Walton, both graduated in Delhi in 1956 and both have shy cats. In 2006 our class had its 50th Reunion and I contacted Nancy for information about her life to include in our booklet. We had a visit for the first time in 50 years as I moved to California right after graduation. She was so proud of her work at the church and of her daughters and grandchildren. She spoke of such pride about her family. I would have loved to talk to her in person but she was unable to attend the reunion. She was missed. Diana Rutherford Kelly

Nancy truly was a treasure and her friendship deeply touched me and my life choices. She was there in trobuled times giving comfort, a warm smile and good advice. The last time I saw her was at daily Mass at St. Margaret Mary's Church. So appropriate as Nancy and I shared our faith in our Loving Lord, enjoyed training and serving as Stephen Ministers and praying for our families. Family life was the spark that kept her sweet smiles coming. How she enjoyed telling family stories. She loved you all. I am sure you know that. I hope to be able to join in the funeral celebration of this beautiful sout. My Soul Sista. Donna Walker

I treasure memories of working with Nancy! She was Nancy #1 and I was Nancy #2 as pastoral administrator at St. Margaret Mary. She was so caring and supportive, thoughtful and fun. She made most situations more positive with her skills, patient hard work and connecting the dots with people. And we all knew how much she loved her family, telling stories with giddy joy and pride. Thank you for sharing a special woman (#1 for sure!) who really made a difference. Know Ron and I have been praying for her and you since we got your special letter updating us about her. Sooo many years ago I was given the privilege of babysitting you girls. Some of my fond memories include playing with those Fisher-Price villages, singing together when I brought my guitar, lots of hairstyling. We played hard and I loved spending time with you. Your mom always welcomed me with her beautiful smile and hugs. Now years later as we reconnect, I can see the love she has poured into you ALL! Finding out Deirdre’s support at AutismUp just continues her legacy of love and care. She endures through you all.
