We send our condolences to Patti and all the family, on hearing of Bill's passing. Our friendship with Bill goes back to Fall 1971, as brand new students at St. Edward's University in Austin. There was no better running buddy than Bill, so intelligent and so humorous. I am notifying several of our old comrades from the college days, as requested. Kevin Faherty Fort Worth, Texas

While I hadn't seen Bill in more than forty years, I can hear his laugh and his outrageous sense of humor in my head like it was yesterday. The thing about Bill was he could make you laugh....he could make anyone laugh, whether you wanted to or not. And, while he was irreverent, he was very kind. And I would never, in a million years, have listened to or appreciated Waylon Jennings if not for Bill. I'm sure he left a mark on every life he passed through. Rest in peace, my old friend.

So saddened to hear this. He was a good man. But take comfort in knowing he was greeted by my husband, Doug Kremer, a childhood friend of his. From the stories I heard over the years, they were inseparable and I’m sure they’re now celebrating a reunion beyond proportions. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.
