My family and Freddie's lived on Hartsdale Road in the 40's & 59's and I have fond memories playing baseball with him on the dirt road - the outfield always moved back and the neighbor's windows were at risk whenever Freddie was at bat I lost touch in my teen years when my family moved across town and we went to separate schools. He was a great pal and I'm happy he led a life of adventure - may he rest in peace.

My deepest sympathy to Carolyn and the Hale family. Freddy was a special cousin who lived practically next door to me and my sister Carol, growing up. Grandma Hale lived with us and we always said Freddy was her favorite…he was handsome, funny and caring. Rest In Peace Freddy - love you! ❤️

Elizabeth, Micheal and Christopher, I only had the pleasure to playing Fred at Gin when I was just a little shit,, Fred never failed to let me know the challenge I was. It was great to know that Fred would speak positive of my ability even though I could match his ability. Always loved listening to his life stories. He will be missed.

Family does not always have to be blood relatives. Uncle Freddy was always there to listen, give meaningful advice or his intellectual dialogue. I will also miss talking with him every football season….The Bills are always a risky bet because they are so unpredictable….. My favorite memory of Fred was watching Super Bowl XXXVI with him. He bet on the Patriots but Pher and Mike took The favored Rams. He kept calling them both throughout the game leaving messages bc they would not answer….” How do you spell victory B-E-L-I-C-H-I-C-K”. My dad will never be the same w/o Fred either. Almost daily talks between them. No one else is on their intelligence level according to Fred and Ron. Love and Miss you always Uncle Fred. -Nicole

Awesome photos of Fred, he had an awesome smile. He was a big teddy bear & he loved my raspberry pie & lemon bars. Fred will never be forgotten by all that knew him, & I am sure we all have some memories that when we think of him will make us smile. Prayers are with Carolyn & the rest of his family.
