Obituary of Leo G. Aman
Leo G. Aman of West Irondequoit passed away peacefully on January 10, 2023, at the age of 86 surrounded by family. Leo is survived by his wife of 62 years Marian (Callan); their children Mark (Ann), Tim (Anh), Cathy (Brian) Lambert, Marge (Tom) Quataert, Ted (Jodi), and Kevin (Mary); grandchildren Lauren (Gary) Mantione, Brett Aman; Marianh (Will) Weir, Michi (Alec) Sanderson; Edward Ryan; Dylan (Jessica) Quataert, Mitchell Quataert; Calin (Jenny), Leo, Lily Aman; Sadie, Keefer, Jack, Jude, and Ivy Aman; and great-grandchildren Linnea and Liam Weir; Finian Sanderson; Piper and Penelope Quataert. Siblings: Edward (Kathryn), Ann (Thomas) Keegan, Ruth Boyle, Margaret (Timothy) Ludwig, Rev. Gerald Aman S.J.; and sister-in-law Barbara Aman. Sisters- and brothers-in-law Eileen Callan, Tessie Callan, David (Linda) Callan, Edward Callan, Daniel Callan, Rev. James B. Callan, Jerry (Ruth) Callan. Leo is predeceased by his parents Harold and Julia Aman; brother John; brother-in-law Richard Boyle; father- and mother-in-law Philip and Lucile Callan; and brothers-in-law Philip and Brady Callan.
Leo was a graduate of St. John Fisher College and worked at Eastman Kodak for 30 years. He was ordained a deacon in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rochester in 1986 and worked at several parishes and with the campus ministry team at Nazareth College. Our family would like to extend our deepest thanks to the dedicated family of caregivers at St. Ann's Community. We are forever grateful.
No prior calling hours. Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Saturday, January 21, at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church (1460 Ridge Rd, Webster, NY). Interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery. Those wishing may direct donations to Sisters of St. Joseph of Rochester, 150 French Road, Rochester, NY 14618, or other charity of your choosing.
