Warren and I met when we were in the Army. We shipped out to Thailand together. In fact we were roommates when we first arrived. We were assigned to the same company but worked in different places, which meant that we didn't see each other very often, but enough to remain friends. Eventually our tour of duty ended and we came back home on Christmas Eve 1968, and travelled back to Rochester together. We were then assigned to Fort Hood, Texas where Warren brought his family to live on base I met Marilyn when they moved on base. I don't .if she remembers me or not. After getting out of the army I visited Warren at his home in Rochester a few times but eventually we lost contact, until I saw his obituary today. I am sorry for your loss, but as I watched the slide show I saw many glimpses of the Warren I knew.

We had a wonderful Cousins Breakfast and we’re so blessed to have been able to share this day together with Waren. he made me laugh. He held the door for me as I was going out of the room and he said, let me hold the door for you. This is what I do. He did tell the best stories he was an all around fun person to be with .

Warren was most loved at the East Ave. Towers. I for one of many,would look forward to Monday,Wednesday and Friday when he would work the morning shift. I so enjoyed his stories,jokes but mostly his times shared with his children and grandchildren. He was very proud of his service in the army and as a postal worker. He would remind on many occasions,how “hard” he worked. Many a time,he was seen in heavy conversations with anyone who appeared. A loving,nice-gentle man. He will be missed. He will not be forgotten. Dear Marilyn and family We are heartbroken with the news of Warren’s death. He was a dear friend as well as the wonderful Papa to our grandchildren Thomas and Elizabeth.
