Obituary of Margaret Mary Ochs

Ochs, Margaret Mary “Margi” of Rochester passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023. Margi was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary (Collins) Ochs, grandparents, Margaret and Dennis Collins, Joseph and Florence Ochs and several aunts and uncles. Margie survived by her loving siblings, Betsy (Mark) Lawless and Joseph (Jean) Ochs. She survived by nephews and nieces, John Lawless, Bridget Lawless, Shannon Lawless, Lauren (Blake) Woods, Erin (Robert) Graham, and Michael Ochs. Also survived by great-nephews and niece, Grayson Woods, Thomas Woods and Louise Graham and numerous cousins and dear friends.

Margi was born on February 14, 1956 in Rochester, NY. Margi is a graduate of Bishop Kearney High School and went on to earn an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and a masters degree from University of Rochester. Margi had a long and successful career at Xerox. In retirement she was an Adjunct Professor at Rochester Institute of Technology. Margi had a passion for needlework and shopping, but cherished the time spent with her friends and family the most. Margi's family would like to thank her dear friends and cousins that assisted Margi with doctor appointments and the love and care that they provided during her time of need.

Friends are invited to meet the family on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 11AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church (4536 St Paul Blvd, Rochester, NY 14617) for Margi’s funeral mass. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Sunset House (www.sunsethouse.info/) in Margi’s memory.
