Obituary of Sarah P. Milazzo

Milazzo, Sarah P. of Rochester passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023 with her loving sister by her side. Sarah was predeceased by her parents, Epi and Florence (DiLuca) Milazzo; brother, Albert Smith, Sr., and nephew, Albert Smith, Jr. Sarah is survived by her siblings, Richard (Anne) Smith, Kathy (James) Schubmehl and John Milazzo. Sister-in-law, Cheryl Gleffe. Nieces and nephews, Anthony (Juliet) DiMino, Vanessa (John) Bidwell, Christina (Amy) Smith-Hickey, Sabra Smith, Juliana (Jeff) Westra, Katie Smith, Laura (Tim) Troutman, William (Lauren) Smith, Floriana Milazzo, Sophia Milazzo and Giana Milazzo. Dear cousins, Leanora DeNinnis, Phyllis Jensen and Charles Milazzo. Beloved great-nieces and great-nephews and numerous dear friends.

Sarah was a resident at the Monroe Community Hospital for the last 15 years. During Sarah's stay, she became active with day-to-day operations at the hospital and worked in the library. Sarah was a liaison for the hospital, assisting and helping new residents adjust to their own life at MCH and Sarah also kept busy as a greeter for Gala events. In her free time, Sarah loved listening to music, going to concerts and spending time in the gardens, feeding the birds and especially her favorite bird, the Blue Jay. Sarah always cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.

Friends are invited to join the family on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 4 to 6PM at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). A celebration of Sarah's life will follow visitation and begin at 6PM. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Mary Cariola Center, Al Sigl Center, or the Monroe Community Hospital Foundation in Sarah's memory.
