Met Don in the mid 80's. He gave me 5 years of flute lessons. I may have been his oldest student. Was in my 50's at the time. Don was a special man. Kind and caring as well as having a great sense of humor. I'm fortunate he crossed my life. Rest in peace, dear Don. May God Bless. Love to you and yours, Toni

Don taught me clarinet at Holy trinity and always knew when I hadn't practiced as much as I should have for the lesson! He molded many into musicians and prepared us well for the high school. I have fond memories of the HT concerts. To Don's family, I am very sorry to hear of your loss.

I have such fond memories of Mr. Piccolo. He was my first flute teacher at Holy Cross Grammer School in Charlotte. I went on to study for to years and through college. Although my major was voice, I played in many ensembles throughout my college years. I still play today. I somewhat followed in his footsteps and teach music (Choral and General) in Marietta Ga. Mr. Piccolo was a kind and sweet soul and I thought of him often. My prayers are with his friends and family as they grieve the loss of a wonderful man.
