I was shocked and saddened to learn of Joe's passing today. He was a professional colleague for many years and l learned a lot from him during that time. He was fiercely devoted to his family, and we had a standing quote/joke with each other that "Work is important, but life is important-er!". My deepest condolences to his family and those close to him.

My condolences to Jeff, Khrista, Debby, Jeanie and Joe’s family & friends. Watching a Giants football game in the Merry living room was made special by Joe’s unique “colorful” commentary. He was part of a great family who was adored by many and will be missed by all.

I met Joe at Gold's Gym when I overheard him talking to another member about where he was from.
He told the person he was from Watertown. I'm sure he said Watertown, because he knew the person had probably not heard of Croghan.
I told Joe I was from the same area, Carthage. That's when he fessed up and told me he was from Croghan.
I kidded him about the Van Amber Rd. Our conversation turned to sports and I asked him if played basketball for Bob Giordano .
There was a great rivalry between the Beavers and the Comets and their coaches, Giordano and Jerry Metcalf.
My condolences to the family. He was too young to leave us.

We knew Joe since he and Kim became River Oaks residents. His outgoing caring personality was obvious from the beginning. His love of family and outdoors was also obvious. We spent much time with Joe on the fishing dock listening to his stories of family and fishing. We will miss him greatly. Our most heartfelt condolences to Kim and family. Jim and Gail Izzard.

Absolutely heartbreaking to see this. I can’t believe this is real. I grew up with Joey and his siblings in New Bremen. Our parents were best friends. I have so many great memories of us “kids” hanging out during our summer vacations. We grew up in a great neighborhood. We all knew each other.
Jeanne was, still is, our second mom to me, my sister and brothers.
My deepest condolences to all that loved him.
Jeanne, Debbie, Jeff and Khrista please know you all are in my thoughts and prayers. Sending love to each of you as you find comfort. Rest in peace Joey.

I am so very very sorry to hear of Joe’s passing.. I met him at Mark and Debbie Bunce’s wedding. He and Kim made a huge impact as being very family oriented and very friendly. I just recently reconnected with him and Kim via Facebook and am thankful for that brief added connection. Please remember all of the many fantastic memories to get you all through these tough days ahead.

iF YOU EVER NEEDED CHEERING UP OR A GOOD LAUGH, YOU COULD COUNT ON JOE TO FILL THAT REQUEST. JOE DEFINITELY WAS MORE OF A BROTHER THAN A COUSIN. FAMILY FUNCTIONS WERE MORE COMPLETE WHEN JOE KIM AND THEIR FAMILY WERE THERE. WHEN JOE TOLD A STORY, YOU WANTED TO HEAR EVERYTHING HE HAD TO SAY BECAUSE IT WAS SO ENTERTAINING. STILL SO DIFFICULT TO ACCEPT THIS LOSS, BUT WE HAVE MANY FABULOUS MEMORES AND LOVE THAT WILL ALWAYS KEEP JOE ALIVE IN OUR HEARTS.
