I was lucky to have had the pleasure of getting to know Mr. Manning the last couple of years. I consider his son Dave one of my best friends. I can't recall many conversations with Dave that did not include stories of his dad. Those stories were told with such admiration & respect, that would make any dad so very proud. Blessings to all of the Manning family & my family will keep you all in our thoughts & prayers.

Whenever given the opportunity to speak with Mr. Manning, he would always make you feel as if you were the most important person in the room at that time, always was genuinely happy to see and spend time with you. It's an amazing person to have the ability to make everyone feel special to be around him. My condolences on your great loss.

Thoughts and prayers to the Manning family of the loss of Dave Manning. As stated earlier our family has great memories of all the Mannings, but without a doubt the laughter is what comes to mind the most. And it appears from the comments we were not the only ones that were entertained over the years by Mr. Dave Manning!!! You will be missed...

Dear Nancy,
Ever since your son sent the email telling of your husband's passing, I have shared your sorrow. The 'unthinkable' has happened and I send my love and prayers to you and your family. I think of you often ... you have been so faithful in sending Christmas notes and cards. I'm recalling the days when we were grammar school friends. Now we support each other with thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Barbara

Nancy,Dave, and Mary Grace - sad to hear the news that your dear husband / father has left us. I must tell you, when I think of the great Dave Manning, I can only smile. What a sweet guy, and loved by the entire Denk family. He knew my Dad like few others, truly his best buddy and partner in crime. I can only imagine the wise crack he has for my Dad when they see each other again (maybe already!) I know you will celebrate his life and cherish his memories. Praying for your peace and sending love to you all..."young" Bill Denk

You know, reading the tributes, what stands out to me is that Mr. Manning always left a wonderful, lasting impression on all those he crossed paths with, what a great legacy. It has been so many years, buy my oh my, we have such fun memories. Mom and I have been talking about some of them, and I can still remember vividly the first time he came to our house in Fairport for dinner, when all we knew was that he worked with our Dad. We all sat in the dining room and laughed and laughed. And then of course we all have special memories of our times in Jekyll Island together on family vacations. What a gem. Praying for you all, so sorry for your loss, what a blessing to have had him as husband, father, brother, and friend. May God comfort you in the way that only HE can. Love, Carrie

Nance, Mary Grace, Davey, and families,
What a loss! Dave has been, from before I was born, the levity and humor in our extended family. Memories have been flooding my mind the last few days, and just as I start to shed some tears, his smiling face pops into my mind. Then, I see him doing things like being becalmed on the lake, chasing a bull, telling the Archibald joke, telling boop stories, etc., and I can't help but laugh and cry at once. He and Tim are walking arm in arm and looking down on you with love and pride. He will forever be woven into the fabric of our family's lore!! His legacy and gifts live on in all of you!! You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Janie, Bill, Tim, Kate and Dan

I became acquainted with Mr. Manning over the years by participating in the memorial golf tournament for Tim, who was a dear friend of my sister and brother-in-law's. I always looked forward to seeing him and Mrs. Manning at this annual event. He was such a fun guy, just like I remember Tim. I smiled and cried a little when I heard of Mr. Manning's passing and pictured their joyful reunion. I'll be praying for your entire family.

I will always cherish the memories of spending time with my father-in-law, who wanted me to call him "Dad." Anytime I would see him or speak to him on the phone, he would create the biggest smile on my face. He was a caring, passionate and entertaining man full of great stories. Couldn't have asked for a greater grandfather. I was completely blessed to be born with such a wonderful and caring man to call a role-model. Holidays will be a little quieter without the constant tales told by one amazing story teller. Now they will be filled with sharing stories of how incredible you are. I love you Grampa. Continue to watch over me. You will forever be on my mind and in my heart.
