Obituary of David Francis Manning

Manning, Jr., David F.
Homosassa, FL. Passed away Thursday, August 30, 2012 at the age of 78. A native of Rochester, NY, he was born June 8, 1934 to David F., Sr. and LuAnna Sheon Manning, one of five children. Predeceased by his son, Timothy James Manning, and his brothers, Leo D. and Bernard A. Manning. David is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy L. Manning, Homosassa, FL., daughter, Mary Grace (Paul) Lewandowski, St. Louis. MO., son, David F. (Tina) Manning, III, Smyrna, GA., twin grandsons, Cooper & Carson, granddaughters, Krista(Tim) and Mackenzie, grandsons, Brad and Brendan, brother, Robert L. Manning, Tucson, AZ., and his sister, Mary Alice Manning, Rochester, NY.
David served in the U.S Army during the Korean War. He was a district manager in marketing and sales with the Eastman Kodak Co., with 30 years of service living in seven different states during that time and retired in Homosassa, FL. in 1991. He was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Homosassa, FL. and a former parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Church in Rochester, NY. David obtained his private pilot's license in Crystal River, FL after retirement, an accomplishment of which he was proud.
His family will receive friends Wednesday 4:00 - 7:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family Thursday 10:00 am at Blessed Kateri at St. Margaret Mary Church for his funeral mass. Interment White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Timothy Manning Memorial Scholarship Fund at St. Bonaventure University, www.sbu.edu/manning2012
